Enjoy watching the World Poker Tour on television?

Good news for you this week as the WPT has extended its agreement with FOX Sports for the next 5 years with an extra 13 hours of original content to air every year alongside the full WPT season.

Broadcasting on FOX since 2009 the WPT is just wrapping up its 27-episode, Season 14 broadcast schedule with its Tournament of Champions.

The new deal assures WPT programming will continue through Season XIX.

FOX Sports Regional Networks has also agreed to air two or more WPT "marathon" broadcasts each season with the first-ever Labor Day Marathon to begin in September.

Most-Watched Episode in WPT History Last Year

“This unprecedented, five-year deal with FOX Sports," says Adam Pliska, WPT President and CEO, “elevates WPT into an elite and exclusive group of shows that have aired on television for nineteen seasons.

"This announcement is great for fans of the WPT and provides extensive, guaranteed exposure for our mainstream sponsors, including Hublot, Monster Headphones, Royal Caribbean International®, and FIAT.

"We are proud of our new deal with FOX Sports, and we thank the network for its continued support and promotion of our content across its television and digital platforms.”

The WPT broadcasts on FOX average over 900,000 viewers per week. Episode 22 of Season 13 last year, from the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, was the most-watched episode in the history of the World Poker Tour with 1.6m viewers.

Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten and Lynn Gilmartin remain the co-hosts/anchor.

The WPT airs at 8 pm Sunday night in most regions and re-airs throughout the week on both FSN and FS2. Check your local FOX Sports listings for the Season XIV schedule and beyond.
