We know you don't have a ton of time to spend reading poker news stories filled with fluff. That's why we are starting a new news series we call the Super Turbo.

PokerStars Championships Kick off With Caribbean Stop

Last year PokerStars announced it would eliminate all of its global tour brands - including the iconic EPT - and start a series of PokerStars Championship events with stops all around the world.

The first-ever PSC event kicked off over the weekend on Paradise Island in the Caribbean. The PokerStars Championship Bahamas will feature 98 total events with a wide variety of buy-ins suitable for all buy-in levels.

The Main Event of the PCB is currently underway on Day 1b while another major event has already crowned a champion.

Jason Koon Wins $100,000 Super High Roller

Two new poker millionaires were crowned on Sunday at the PSCB $100,000 Super High Roller Event. Jason Koon survived a field of 54 entries to win the event and $1.65 million.

The final table of this event was a stacked one. Bryn Kenney, Connor Drinan, Charlie Carrel and 2014 Big One for One Drop Champion Dan Colman all were shooting for the top prize in the first major high roller of 2017.

Colman came close to winning another million but fell short in third place, taking home $759k.

Ultimately it was Carrel and Koon heads-up for the title. Despite starting with a 2:1 chip lead heads-up Carrel lost the momentum and ultimately fell in second place.

Carrel still took home $1.19 million for his runner up finish. Koon received the massive bronze trophy and a healthy $1.65 million payday.
