Tournaments
For a modest fee, you can play for potentially huge amounts of money if you manage to navigate your way to the final table in a large, multi-table poker tournament. Of course, you will need a few hours to spare and a fair share of both skill and luck, but if you survive until the very end the payoff will most certainly be worth it. This list shows all interesting tournaments that are scheduled for today.

In a tournament, you put in a wager at the start of the game and that's it. During the game you cannot buy any new chips, and you cannot put any more money at risk. You know right from the start what's at stake, and you do not risk getting carried away and investing more than you intended. You can get a lot of poker for a single tournament buy-in, if you manage to stay alive. Of course, a tournament may also end very fast if you're unlucky. The exception to this is re-buy tournaments where you are allowed to buy more chips during the first hour or so. Most poker rooms today offer tournaments with guaranteed prize pools, i.e., if the buy-ins fail to reach the guaranteed amount the hosting poker room will add the rest. This is clearly a good deal for the players, as some tournaments are almost certain to offer added value. You can also play satellites to larger events - a great option for those who want to qualify to larger online tournaments for a reasonable fee or maybe qualify to one of the major live events like the WSOP.Toplist Categories
