As a Mac user, you probably already know that finding Mac-compatible software can be difficult in some cases. If you like playing online poker, your options so far have been limited to a few poker rooms, although several are developing or intend to develop Mac poker clients.
Many online poker rooms offer "no download" alternatives aimed at Mac and Linux users that let you play in your browser. While the quality of these poker clients has improved significantly over the years, the software that you download and install is generally more attractive and has some added functionality, such as note-taking and statistics.
If you own an Intel-based Mac you also have the option to use Apple's Boot Camp, which lets you use Windows on your Mac. The technology will be included in the next release of Mac OS X Leopard, but is already available as a public beta version. If your favorite poker room has no Mac-native poker client - this might be the perfect alternative.
